Spiritual Faith Absorbs Stress

Spiritual Faith Absorbs Stress

The quality of being concerned with human spirit or soul as opposed to material or physical things is called spirituality-the dictionary meaning. Some defines spiritual practice as one’s journey towards moksha awareness of self, the discovery of higher truths, true nature of reality, and a consciousness that is liberated and content.

The spiritual is ordinarily associated with prayer, meditation, a feel that HE exists, a firm belief that He is the guiding spirit much above the time and space and so on but whatever else it might include it cannot essentially have anything to do with man’s social existence.

Prayer is most important inclusion of spirituality as it is most commonly understood by men of all religions and faiths. When prayers are accepted: you get what you desired; brings you nearer to yourself and HIM and deepens your faith in HIM. Realization of Self is the highest level of prayer that helps you to view the situations in correct perspective, an intellect and a patience booster.

Meditation is another end of spirituality that strengthens one’s faith in the Almighty. Meditation is a practice where an individual uses a technique as mindfulness or focusing the mind on a particular object, thought or activity- to obtain attention, awareness and clarity. Ordinary people try to focus on a spiritual personality to gain calmness, to listen what HE has to say about your prayers. Your body is at rest and you are trying to make your mind also at rest-thinking nothing just a vacuum - if you attain that it is a bliss. Some do achieve such a state of mind.

When we perform our tasks as devotion to divine such a behavior leads to firm faith in the Almighty. If we offer our food to God before eating it becomes Prasad and HE becomes a partner harbinger of good luck, many make him to enter first in their work place

Prayer and Meditation are based on firm faith and absolute surrender to HIM. Unless we have faith in the Almighty even the charity, penance and sacrifices will not lead to the desired results.

Many a times people ask does HE talks to a person: certainly not directly as another human being-His acts do. Just to illustrate once I was going to a temple and on the way there was another temple devoted to another God and we decided to skip and pay our obeisance on return journey. You won’t believe from a party of about 15 persons on return journey everybody had Darshan but the doors were closed before two of us-those who had decided to skip-could not enter. On next visit before starting I made prayer with folded hands from the core of my heart that we would be following the same order: we may kindly be excused and He created such a moment that in a temple usually full of devotees we found ourselves alone and free to stand before HIM as much as we like. HE was standing before us to bless. In fact HE was waiting for us. On another occasion we were in a temple to pray and have Darshan of the Lord, when I turned I saw my son praying with tears in his eyes, when we reached home we found what was asked for by my son was granted and a telegram was waiting for us There is perhaps a system of telepathy and tuition between HIM and has devotees. He knows everything before people speak to HIM. Your experience with HIM will strengthen your belief and faith in HIM.
Guru Granth Sahib has put it as,
“Vin Boliya sab kichh jaandaa,
 Kis aagaye keejeiye ardaas”
Meaning “He knows everything without being told unto whom should we offer our prayer.”

Even Albert Einstein said:
“Coincidence is God’s way of remaining anonymous.”
Continue to do what you can to relieve your stress but leave the results to HIM and certainly HE will be there to help and guide you. Spiritual belief gives strength, confidence, positivity, fruits of action, a sense that there is somebody with you to guide and protect you, a cushion to absorb shocks.

The Bhagavad Gita – Song of God –  and others enlightens us as follows:

I am the beginning, the middle and end of all beings.
                                                                 Bhagavad Gita (10.20)

There is no being –moving or unmoving that can exist without Me.
                                                                  Bhagavad Gita (10.39)

The faith of every man accords with his nature. Man is made up of faith; as is his faith so is he.
                                                                       Bhagavad Gita (17.3)
Without faith, whatever offering or gift is made of work done or penance
performed it is reckoned “not being” both now and hereafter.
                                                                    Bhagavad Gita (17.28)

You have to grow from the inside out. None can teach you, none can make you spiritual. There is no other teacher but your own soul.

                                                                    Swami Vivekananda
Without faith there is no knowledge,
Without knowledge there is no virtuous conduct,
Without virtues there is no deliverance,
And without deliverance there is no perfection.
                                                                       Uttaradyayana Sutra

So always remember He is with you everywhere to guide and bless you, have faith in him and He   absorbs Stress.
